About Deer Hunting
First, all kids must arrive with a parent or guardian and their own rifle sighted in. In addition, hunters must bring the AnyKidCanHunt Marksmanship Certificate. (click here for certificate) Safety is first and foremost at AnyKidCanHunt so we start by reviewing hunter and gun safety rules and how to handle and respect guns and others. We then go to the shooting range so each hunter can prove accuracy. We respect the animals God has provided for our nourishment so each hunter must prove accuracy to ensure we harvest them humanely.
Each hunter and guardian is accompanied by a trained and experienced guide to the hunting blinds. We hunt mornings and evenings. The guides select the animals to be harvested and coach each hunter throughout the hunting process. When an animal is harvested, the guides help locate the animal and assist the hunter and guardian to load the animal to bring back to be cleaned. Once the animals are quartered, the meat is preserved so the hunter can take his or her meat home.
